Attention Teachers: Iditarod Insider Information for you!
Iditarod 2008 is underway! This will be another great race with lots of excitement! We don't want you to miss a minute of the action!
Last year during the race, you were given a free subscription to Iditarod Insider thanks to GCI School Access sponsorship.
To access Iditarod Insider, go to www.iditarod.com and click Iditarod Insider. Then click the words
Become an Insider / Log In
A pop up box will give you the sign fields to fill in so that you can access the website. This user name and password can be used by ALL TEACHERS and ALL STUDENTS in your school. (IF you know of a teacher in Alaska who wants their own subscription sign on, please have them contact me directly at djohnson@iditarod.com and I will assist them.)
The username/log in is the email address I used to contact you. Your password was determined last year during your subscription sign up.
Then click the words Forgot your password? Your password will be emailed to you so that you can access the website.
You should still be able to access Iditarod Insider just as you did last year. However, if there is a computer glitch over the next couple of weeks, and you are unable to access Iditarod Insider, please follow these instructions to make sure you continue to receive Iditarod Insider.
Go to www.iditarod.com and click Iditarod Insider. Look for the words: Renew my subscription, in the menu box below the words: Become an Insider / Log In You should fill in the email address I used to contact you and follow the instructions. When you get to the coupon code, enter the following information:
GCI_Iditarod08
That code will allow teachers in Alaska and students in Alaska free access to Iditarod Insider. Again, if you know teachers in Alaska who are not subscribed, please encourage them to contact me directly. This free offer is only for teachers/students in Alaska. Teachers in other states/countries may subscribe and purchase Iditarod Insider.
Since GCI School Access is a sponsor of this project, if you are interested in sharing your enthusiasm about Iditarod Insider and using the race with students, please send an email or personal note and thank GCI. Their contact information is included following my contact information.
I would also enjoy hearing from you about this so as I continue to seek sponsorship for Iditarod Insider to be free in schools in Alaska, I have your comments to share as a demonstration of your use of Iditarod Insider and the race with your students. I am also interested in any other aspect of the race or using the race with students in Alaska, that you wish to share. It is important to me that we continue to improve our Iditarod Educational Department activities to assist classrooms in helping students be successful. I greatly appreciate your efforts and your comments.
